Net Neutrality Reality Through 2018

What is Happening?

This week, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to remove so-called “net neutrality” rules put in place in 2015 to help ensure widespread availability of relatively inexpensive internet-based services, especially for U.S. consumers. The vote had been expected for months, receiving extensive global media, political, and analyst coverage. That coverage focuses on potential calamitous results for consumers, for enterprises, and for services providers that rely upon readily available, relatively inexpensive bandwidth.
