Defra has established a programme to implement a Shared Service
operation to support corporate service activities comprising
human resources, finance, estates and procurement. Given the
importance of the initiative and the level of investment,
Alsbridge were engaged to provide client side advice to the
Programme Director and to the Shared Services Programme Board.

The Department for Transport has commissioned a shared services
project in response to the Gershon Efficiency Review. Alsbridge
were asked to provide specialist shared service skill to design
and manage the business change initiatives and transition
activity for the programme. More
Multi Departments

Alsbridge were asked to provide specialist skill in reviewing
the status of a multi-departmental shared services project
which had been brought into question following the revision
of estimated costs. This involved a review of the process
design, procurement strategy and business case. More
HMRC

Following the merger of HM Customs & Excise, and Inland
Revenue in April 2005 to form HR Revenue and Customs, the
department embarked on a major transformation programme to
integrate the back office operations. Alsbridge were engaged
from the outset, reporting to the Programme Steering Group
and Senior Responsible Officer.
