responsibility by announcing the implementation of two major environmental
programs during the week of Earth Day.
Alsbridge established an
internal Environmental Committee to reduce the environmental footprint of the
workplace through an Office Environmental Policy resulting in changes within its
offices that include:

Switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs)
wherever possible
·
Double-sided copying of documents whenever possible
·
Ensuring recycling bins are readily accessible in all
office areas
·
Increasing email and reducing “hard” copies for corporate
communications
·
Utilizing recycled, unbleached 100 percent post consumer
paper whenever possible
·
Donating old computers, peripherals, and cell phones to
charities
The adoption of the
Offsetting Policy recognizes that airline travel accounts for a significant
amount of all greenhouse gas emissions. More awareness and discretion in travel
planning has come to the forefront to reduce contributing to the greenhouse gas
emissions as well as the purchase of offset credits that fund renewable energy
projects in developing countries.
