Process Management is recognized as an important requirement
in any project to ensure that it is planned, coordinated and
managed efficiently. It is essential that a client’s
Outsourcing or Shared Services endeavor is managed to a consistently
high standard using tried and tested practices and procedures,
in order for it to be delivered on time, in budget, and to
the Client’s required quality.
The complexity of sourcing decisions requires
extensive experience and a disciplined framework to achieve
the successful delivery of IT and Business Processes. Choosing
either an Outsourced or Shared Services environment will be
determined by your goals and situation, and Alsbridge has
extensive experience managing both processes. We understand
their similarities and differences, and have developed our
methodology accordingly.
Choosing an Outsourced solution will involve
a comprehensive implementation plan that assists the organization
with the development of on and offshore options, deal optimization
including supplier selection, contract terms and pricing,
and a substantial transition plan to ensure a smooth migration
of the new processes to the chosen supplier. Governance structures
must be established to ensure the “health” of
the outsourced relationship, and periodic check ups are recommended.
Choosing a Shared Services solution provides
organizations with the ability to mitigate risk while maintaining
some measure of control. Developing this design, build and
operate solution involves complex engineering that only truly
experienced advisors such as Alsbridge can provide. The facilities
and technology infrastructure must be designed and built.
You must establish policies and procedures related to both
the processes moving to the new center and HR issues such
as recruiting, training, etc. A Service Agreement must be
put in place, along with management mechanisms, and a charging
structure will have to be designed.
